Famous GPB's
Surfing around different Gamma Phi websites, I noticed a lot of variations of famous Gamma Phi's. Some I have heard before: Kirstie Alley and Elizabeth Montgomery. Others I have never heard of before: Michelle Kwan and Dominique Dawes. I decided to make my own famous Gamma Phi's page. All the people on my page our from the IH website. I am still working on it, right now it only contains people I could find a picture of. I am still searching for other famous Gamma Phi's pictures. If you know where I can find a picture of famous Gamma Phi's, who I don't have yet, please let me know.

if it does not work the first time, try again later. I've been having problems with the page.
In IIKE,
Diedra

One you may want to add...
Here's what I got from the National GPB site:
Krista Louise Ritacco (maiden name: Larsen)
Beta Rho chapter; U. of Colorado- Boulder
She was at Convention in 2002 and I believe her official title is "Executive Assistant to the Counselor" where the counselor is GW Bush's counselor. She has something to do with the speechwriting for Bush I remember.
I may have a picture from Convention of Krista and one of my sisters. Let me know if you want me to dig it up.

Yes, I would like a picture of her if it is not to much trouble. I looked for one on the internet with no luck. Thanks!

Hi!
Over on the rush thread...I looked at Clemson's Panhellenic page and under famous greeks the Gamma Phi chapter has Michelle Kwan (the figure skater) listed. I was curious if she's a Gamma Phi (mostly because its an inside joke with my friend who is an advisor at UCLA that we should pledge her)

I have done a member search for Michelle Kwan on our IH webpage. Unless that is not her real name, she is not listed.

Michelle Kwan is her real name. She attended high school in Lake Arrowhead with some of my friends, and I know she went to UCLA, but I don't think she was affiliated. Email the chapter president or advisor, or even the PCD if you want to find out for sure. They'd have that info.
If you want PCD, advisor, or president emails, I have them for that Province. PM me if you want them.

I looked a little while unpacking, but haven't run across it yet. I'll keep looking this weekend because I know my best friend and I are going to browse through my pictures like we always do when she visits.

Great site Diedra! It is really good! You should send it to IH for them to incorporate into the main GPhiB website...by the way, I am glad you did not list Kirstie Alley or Elizabeth Montgomery or Michelle Kwan -- none of them are Gamma Phis.
For Cloris Leachman, you can add that she won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 1971 for The Last Picture Show; her character was "Ruth Popper."
Also Kristin Chenoweth won her Tony in 1999 for Best Actress (Featured Role--Musical) for "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" and was nominated this year for Best Actress in a musical "Wicked"
We also have a Pulitzer Prize winning sister -- the 1958 Pulitzer Prize for an Autobiography/Biography was awarded to three authors who wrote GEORGE WASHINGTON -- 1) Douglas Southall Freeman, who wrote Vols I-VI, and then after his death, Volume VII was written by (2) John Alexander Carroll and (3) Mary Wells Ashworth (our sister!) I am not sure of her chapter but I think at least her name appears on our main website....

Diedra,
Your Web site looks great! I think I'll get a link put on Epsilon Lambda's Web site to it. You may want to add Alabama Supreme Court Justice Lunn Stuart, from Gamma Phi chapter.

I did a search for Lynn Stuart and can not find any pictures of her. Do you know where to find one?

Michelle Kwan
Hey guys~
I saw some speculation about Michelle Kwan being a GPhi, which I saw a couple of days ago when I was perusing the famous greeks thread. When I joined in Fall '01, I was told that Michelle went through informal spring rush '01 and got bids from all the houses she visited, but decided not to join because she wanted to train harder for the then-upcoming Olympics. She had a good friend in our house who was a senior when I was a freshman, and supposedly Michelle told her that we were the only house she seriously considered joining (we were only about a year old when she came through informal springand weren't super 'sorority' yet, so maybe that appealed to her). I kind of figured that some of it was exaggeration, but I think it's neat that some other Panhel. randomly picked up the misinformation that she was a Gamma Phi here!
