How you help...

I hope you guys don't mind me crashing your board. I am a lurker and not greek but I wanted to send you guys a quick post.

I'm not sure you gals get to hear a thank you from those of us who recieve your help. So I wanted to take a minute and thank you for all the work you've done on behalf of diabetics. My ten year old just came home from "diabetes camp". He had a really good time, this is the one time of year where he isn't "different" from all the other kids. And he just today started giving himself insulin shots. Anyway I wanted to thank you all for contributing to the emotional, mental and phsyical well being of my son. You have no idea how many lives you touch by supporting a charity like JDRF. Thank you!

I know that I can speak for my sisters when I say that you can come and crash at anytime!

Though I've only been an AGD and volunteer for the JDRF for a few years, I've met so many people from fellow volunteers, parents, and patients. Every year it's always a pleasure helping out with the JDRF Walk, silent auctions, and whatever event JDRF Hawaii needs us at. The hours are often long and tiring, but it's the smiles of these kids and getting messages like yours that give us Alpha Gams to work even harder and one day we'll find a cure!

Non-AGDs probably don't know that AGD was had previously selected Cleft Palate Research as a philan. project before JDF.

Now, thanks to the AGD Foundation, our monies go to various projects, including JDF.
