Hi, I am a D*Phi*E alum graduating *tommorrow* with my Master's degree in Social Work. I've gone on several interviews but *nothing*. I need a job! If anyone has any contacts in the Social Work/Mental Health field here in NYC, I would realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly appreciate it and I would do my best to find some way to make it up to you
The economy sucks all around especially in my field right now. It seems the *trend* is to give positions to people with a BA or less in what used to be a Master's level position to pay less and save the agency $$$$$. Anyone else noticing this trend in your field? Also if anyone has any ideas of jobs I can do to supplement my income in the meantime, please let me know (I DON"T have NYC bartending/waitressing experience though so this might leave me out of that area). Plus are entry-level human service or retail positions really going to consider someone with a Master's degree and 6 years of experience?
