The Starting Over House (WB or UPN) 8am

Does anyone here watch this show but me?? It started out as an accident (in the gym one morning I didnt feel like getting off the treadmill to change the channel) .... now I am hooked!


For those of you who don't know, this is kind of a reality show, If you are having problems and stumbling blocks in your life you can write the show and they may pick you to be invited to live in this Mansion. There at the house are life coaches (2 females) they try to help you accomplish your goals in life. If you do accomplish everything. then you get to graduate and leave the house.


Well now 3 people have graduated so far and there is this girl on there named Kimberlyn, everrryyy one hates Kimberlyn because she is loud and doesnt want to socialize with anyone in the house unless they agree to come with her back to her family's house. She is a very funny character. they tried to kick her off with a unanaimous vote but the life coaches let her stay.

she is in the house for not knowing how to drive.. (everyone is like what is so hard about getting a freaking driving license??)

Oh yeah! I seem to catch myself watching too... I can't remember the girl's name but she's afraid of touch...Annoys the hell out of me...so dramatic...but the show is quite addictive

Starting Over comes on in Atlanta on the NBC affiliate at 11:00 a.m. The same people that make The Real World are the ones who put the concept of this house together -- that might be why it is so addictive.

I like the show . . . I couldn't handle it when the older lady who smoked and didn't bathe was in the house because it game me the creeps when the girl from Dallas would mention that this stinky lady loved to touch people or help with the food or give hugs and help with washing the clothes . . . she'd have one time to touch me with those dirty hands. They would have to throw me out of the house. In addition, there is someone who is looking to date more men and she was rubbing herself and rubbing men against her and all of the things that loose women do -- these broads are too much.

Is anyone watching this? Courtesy of TiVo I watch it almost every night, or have a mini marathon on Saturdays. Yesterday's show was so gooood!! I just wanna talk to someone about it!

I saw the show yesterday when Josie was trying to leave the house to be with her "bf," who she doesn't even know if he's the father of her unborn child. She came to the show b/c she's pregnant and trying to get herself together. B4 the show, she was sleeping in her car b/c bf kicked her out of his house. About 8 hours after the baby was conceived, said bf was sexing down some other chicks. Rain walked into the house to convince her not to leave and made her cry her eyes out, something she needed. Rain also made her look in the mirror at herself to show her WTH she was doing to herself and told her, "You gonna need to face yourself in the mirror sometime and you may as well do it now." Josie didn't want to look at her reflection in the mirror, she was just concerned about leaving the house. I wanted to slap Josie sooooooo bad when she talked about leaving the house. Unfortunately for her, she doesn't love herself and is seeking it in this loser who doesn't want anything to do with her.

I am so hurt that Josie left the house. I was crying on the inside for her as I watched her throw away this wonderful opportunity. She is too insecure to realize that her focus should be on loving her baby and giving it the best opportunities, not chasing some man and hoping he'll love her back. I really hope that she gets some help someday, although I don't know when another opportunity like this will come along.

Yeah!!! Other SO junkies like me!! I've tried the SO message boards, but they are hardcore over there, plus there are too many messages to keep up with.

I certainly wanted to shake the sugar out of Josie waddling her butt around as fast as she could trying to get her stuff together. And then, Johnathan's triflin' brother didn't even get out of the car to get her stuff. She's 9 months PREGNANT dimwhit! She shouldn't be carrying that heavy stuff! What had me dying laughing though was when they were looking for Rain to come home. It reminded me of when I was a kid "Wait 'til Mama gets home. You gonna get it!!" LOL

I was emotionally into it but not crying until Rana started to cry, but then I lost it! I couldn't believe she was throwing away that opportunity. Based on Marie's post I am guessing that she really left, but I sure hope not. As Rain said, she will be back living in that 87 BMW.

I just wish they woulda bought her some maternity clothes. I was so tired of seeing her in those too small tops stretched across her belly.

I keep checking the SO boards to see the update on Erika and Jamal. Do you think they got/will get married?
