Cool Old School

I was listening to the old school hour and thinking what happen to groups like New Edition. What is your favorite thing from the old school. It could be a favorite group, song or toy. Or just anything at all.
Thanks

Sorors,

L.L. Cool J's I need love.

Jermaine Dupri and Jagged Edge's remix will never touch the original.

LOL! Okay, don't laugh...my favorite groups/songs were RUN DMC "Peter Piper" and "Supersonic" by JJFad. My favorite toy was He-Man action figures and the HUGE Castle GraceSkull(sp?) that I used to play with my neighbors instead of the dollhouse my mom bought me! Haha.

1. "If It Isn't Love" - New Edition
2. "Dial My Heart" - The Boyz (somebody PLEASE say you remember them!)
3. "Every Little Step" - Bobby Brown
4. "Night and Day" - Al B. Sure

And that song that went "Sign your name across my heart, I want you to be my baby..." Anybody know?

Of course I miss the fashions of the day - wearing my shorts rolled up to Lord knows where, layering socks in different colors, pulling the bottom of your shirt to one side and putting one of those clips on it.... MAN. Oh.. and remember hair knockers? those black elastic things with the balls on each end? I had them in every color.

that would be de la soul!

i had so many favorite songs. on saturdays, me and my sister, after we finished our chores, would go in the den and listen to records and dance all into the night. our favorite ones were 1999 by prince (although we had no idea what we were singing about--and knew every word to darling nikki!!), thriller by michael jackson, and candygirl by new edition (i wanted to marry ronnie!!)

i didn't really play with toys when i was a child. i had so many cousins that we were always playing hide-n-go seek, mother may i, red light/green light, freeze tag, cartoon freeze tag...man, i miss that so much!! now, what do i do? play with their kids cuz just about all of them have some!!

the toys i did play with were my jem dolls, glow worms, my lil pony, speak-n-say, see-n-say, and i used to work out with "get in shape girl" ya'll remember that?

NONE of my friends will admit to knowing this song, but does anybody remember that song about "the cars that go boom"? Something about "We're Tigre and Bunny and we like.. the boom." PLEASE say someone knows what I'm talking about. I don't wanna think I made this up.

LOL I forgot about a lot of these! Where any of you school house rock fans?? And back in the day when menudo use to come on abc between cartoons(that might be older than old), flava flav with the clock around his neck. One of my favorite cartoons was the littles. De La Sol is still one of my favorite groups. They are right up there with a tribe called quest. Oh yeah and the best movie Wildcats!!!!!
