Pop ups on your computer
My computer crashed this afternoon and a lot of my settings were not saved...
The pop ups are driving me crazy I forgot where to go to on my computer to put a stop to this madness. Can anyone help me out?
Thanks!

I think it's actually panicware.com
There are 2 versions, one free and one that costs $$$. We have both at work, and I don't notice that much of a difference.

I use the Google toolbar, which can be downloaded from google.com
It is free and effective.
Good luck!

I am so glad to hear about these! I have never had that problem before on any other computer (this one's about a month old), but I am VERY sick of being told that I need Viagra!!

Try getting AdAware. I got it through my school. It's free. When you turn it on, it searches your computer for cookies that you can delete to block pop ups. If you want it, pm me and I can try to send it to you.

I'm going to echo a bunch of others and say the Google Toolbar. The problem with Panicware is that it will block the good pop-ups as well (like when you have a PM). The Google Toolbar only blocks the unnecessary pop-up ads.

All you have to do when you want to get something like that is hold down the control button on your computer. It's a little hard to get used to at first, but now I constantly do it on any computer I'm on
