The diversity in ages brings up different topics and offers a chance
for ALL to interact. It's a great way to keep your mind open and interested. It's fun too when someone's son or daughter brings up a subject that you can at least comment on because you've read it on GC. Most of all, I try to remember my interests and concerns at different stages-ages of my life. They were very much the same. I believe "remembering" is key to communicating with my kids and their friends.
