Money ideas

My chapter is in desperate need of ideas on how to become more organized when it comes to turning in money for different things such as dues, t-shirts, and events. We do not have an official way of doing it and it appears that money is just thrown in the treasurer's face. This is getting old and we need a new method of handling this. I was hoping that you all would be able to give me some ideas on how your Phi Mu chapters handles the money. I would appreciate any ideas!! PLEASE HELP!

Our chapter's Treasurer has a small box -- like a mailbox almost -- in our Chapter Room where people can put their checks and money requests instead of throwing a check in her face as she walks down the hall. She also has 'office hours' (because she doesn't live in our dorm section) so people can visit her during the week and ask her any questions or pay their bills, etc. in person.
