Final Exam goodie bags
Has your alumnae chapter ever done this for the actives?
How well were they received?
What type of munchies would be good for final exam goody bags?
Any input would be appreciated

When I was a collegian, Hot Chocolate packets, Rice Krispie Treats, and bath salt packets were EXTREMELY popular.
I loved the alumnae for the things they'd do for us.

Yes, and just about any food and lettered items are well received. Last year we put in a lot of munchies, some of the little post-its, a highlighter, pencils, a mini lotion or shower gel, and an AOII water bottle.

We always do a cute little bag that has a bunch of different things such as : an eraser to "remind you everybody makes mistakes" a starburst to "to give you a burst of energy" and so on. I have the entire list if you're interested!!
I think finals goodie bags are a great idea!!

My Chapter Association has done this before (not an alum chapter, but an org made up of all the initiates of a specific college chapter) & it went over really well.
You can get some great things, really cheap, in bulk from Oriental Trading Company including some candies.... Here's what we included:
Smarties & Twizzlers
Chocolate kisses (for that little caffeine boost)
peppermints (to wake their brain up)
stress balls or bouncy balls for when they needed a break
colorful maribou stacking point pencils (3.49 a dozen from OTC)
OR DZ pencils (OTC has some really fun pencils to choose from)
2 scantrons each & 1 blue book (they could trade with eachother if nec) (one of our alums was on faculty & could get these for us for free).
Small bag of chips or pretzels (bought in bulk from Sam's)
Hot chocolate or instant flavored coffee packets
a coke
We bought the gift bags for them in bulk as well from
MrGiftwrap.com
The alums who were in town assembled the bags before the last chapter meeting & distributed them then. From what I hear, the chapter really loved them...and if you buy the stuff in bulk, it really isn't that expensive at all.
I know some alum chapters do this as a fundraiser--they contact the chapter member's parents early in the semester and sell them for $X...to make sure that all the girl's get them, if their parents don't buy, some of the alum chapter members buy them for them....

I'd put some healthy junk food in there too, like popcorn, almonds, fruit roll-ups, etc.
Also, put some non-food things in there that will be useful during and after the study session, like pencils, pens, floppy disks (just a couple in each package), and a coupon for some dollars off a massage or a day at a spa.
J, if you need some help assembling them, call me and we can work out a day where we'll both be available.

Org didnt do it because the school did it. I just remember some juice drinks, candy, nutrition/energy bars & random other stuff being in it.
The school also did one for your birthday if friends or family wanted to order it.

A great fundraiser for chapter and alumnae associations are dorm kits! These contain munchies, laundry supplies, school supplies, etc.

Here is the one I was telling you about and then a few more things you could put in..
Cottonball: To remind you the soft sport in my heart I hold for you.
Paper clip: to hold yourself together
Rubberband: to remind you to stay flexible.
Lifesaver:Remind you I am here to help
Crayon: To color everyday cheerful and bright
A Mint: To remind you that you are worth "a mint"
Eraser: to remind you that every day starts with a clean slate, OR to remind you that everyone makes mistakes.
Starburst: to give you an extra burst of energy when needed.
other ideas:
Snickers:to remind you to take a moment to laugh (or snicker..)
1000 Grand Bar: to remind you that you are a GRAND sister!
Hershey's Hugs&Kisses: to remind you that your sisters love you
Kudos Granola Bar: Kudos to you for a great job!
Extra Gum: To give you the Extra push, or encouragement
I hope these helped!!
I have gotten these little baggies SO many times and I still get excited EVERY SINGLE TIME I get one
PM me if you need more ideas

My chapter always does this. We never did individual goodie bags, but the same basic idea. Our Academics chair gets huge baskets and fills them with tons of goodies: usually some type of candy (Twizzlers, Hershey's Kisses, Hugs, etc..) and other munchies (fruit snacks, Chex party mix, Rice Krispy treats, fruit..), soda, scantrons and blue books, pencils, erasers, etc.. These baskets were put out in the house and everyone could take whatever they want while they are studying and then the next evening she would refill them with new stuff. It always went over well.

We do something similar to this,Jill. We fill three 18 gallon Rubbermaid tubs with snack food. One for each chapter we support. Also the girls get to keep the tub when they are empty. They all say that they don't have enough storage.
