The Amazing Race 15
They had an open casting call here a few weeks ago for the Amazing Race....i'm so upset I didn't go
But YAY!! I <3 the Amazing Race
ETA: Reading the info they had, they said that Zev Glassenberg has Asperger's. From someone that knows little about Autism and less about Asperger's, i'll be interested to see how he does in this competition.

How you know the GLO affiliations? Also I find it awesome that one of the teams is made up of former globetrotters.

I love TAR and I wish they would allow Canadians to participate. So far, the only Canadians that I have seen on American shows has been "The Bachelor".

I'm here, MC, I'm here!!
I finally got a chance to watch the premiere on Hulu and ran right over here to see if there was a thread (I knew there would be) so you knew I was still on board! I wouldn't abandon my teammate!!!
I agree with everyone's impressions so far -- I like Zev's team and my very favorite right now is the Harlem Globetrotter team -- those guys crack me up. I'm entertained by the poker players only because I am certain they will implode at some point. That one girl that had to EAT THE WASABI!!! and was sniping at her partner at the first train stop is going to crack, I just know it.
I was gunning for the meathead lawyer to not make the license plate cut -- though the yoga instructor was a meathead himself, I think he would at least have been entertaining. The lawyer is just irritating.
And thanks to whoever posted the followup that the 1st eliminated couple got engaged --- I give it 3 months.
Should be a fun season! And don't worry, MC, I may not catch all of the shows right when they're on, but I'll make sure to catch up sometime during the week and check in! I gotchyer back, pardner!

I don't think I knew that. Mine too. How old is your son?
My wife and I are particularly interested in that aspect of this season.

I was so hoping he'd be the one booted this past episode. Every time he was on, I kept having Bon Qui Qui moments: "SECURITY! This dude needs to go. He needs to go."
And we've got each other's backs, pardner.

MC, my son turned 20 on Tuesday. He has been doing really well for the last 2 years. He has a gf who is undiagnosed, but I think she too is on the spectrum.

I think it has to do with the fact the Bachelor has no prize money. It's something to do with taxation.
The Amazing Race would also have issues of different issuing countries for passports.

Are you talking about "visas" to enter the different countries that the racers travel to? You would only need 1 passport -- your own.

Phil did an interview awhile ago (I think for CTV?) where he said there may be issues of border guards letting Canadian passport holders through more quickly than American at customs, which could give teams unfair advantages. I remember he said they had a Swiss crew member who always cleared way before anyone else on the crew.

That would be sweet, if you could work it to your advantage. Some people have more than one passport, which could work nicely, like if you had an EU passport and you were in Europe (which TAR pretty much travels to, every time).
And yeah, part of me is all right now about having a Canadian passport. That is all!

Run like hayle away from Garrett. Now.

I don't like the meathead guy - he seems like a jerk. I like the 2 gay brothers and some of the more athletic teams.

Phil sure was taken a back when Garrett showed his temper at the end. Sure hope that Jessica gets a clue and disappears soon. Not someone she wants to marry!
