I am in a national sorority. It costs me approximately $1,400/yr. in dues, even though I don't live in the house. Every member is also required to purchase a 6-meal plan at the house, which adds on more than $1,000/yr.
The dues would be much lower for a sorority that did not have a chapter house. Mine were about $800/yr., and there was no meal plan, before we got our house.
In addition to the dues, there are out-of-pocket expenses like all the greek t-shirts you see sisters wearing (but you're not actually required to buy them if you don't want), and sometimes we'll all chip in for drinks (we are absolutely not allowed to buy alcohol with the actual dues). You will probably spend $100/yr. or less on out-of-pocket expenses.
