Exclamation cell phones/weddings/funerals

I attended a high school classmate's wedding yesterday and during the time the vows were being exchanged, this guy's cell phone starts ringing. Some people snickered, but others were like me and had a look of shock. Had it rung during the processional or during one of the songs, I wouldn't have thought much of it, but it occured during what I considered the most serious part of the wedding. The couple stopped speaking and like everyone else turned to see who wanted everyone to know that they had a phone. A similar incident happened last year at my aunt's funeral. My question/point is what could be so important that it can't wait an hour or two. If you know you are expecting a call, turn the phone on to vibrator, send calls straight to voice mail, or better yet don't attend the function. I have a cell phone and would never dream of having it on during one of these occasions. Now this couple will have the video to watch over and over again of this moment in what I consider one of the most important events in one's life.

Sorry Sorors and SF's, I just had to vent for a moment. I'm better now!
