End of summer...already??

So I was looking at my calendar, and I realized something....Resident Assistant training starts in 9 days for me, and then two weeks after that classes start.

Which leads me to the point of all of this....

What was the best part of everyone's summers?

For me, it was finally deciding to start looking for a pattern so that I can get my first tattoo.

[Sappy]

I'm happy to go back to school on Sept. 2. I had a great summer, went to the beach a lot, got wasted a lot, spent some time with some family, and the best of all, The DeltaSig convention in Chicago was the greatest time of my life.

This semester is gonna be great. We've came off our best semester in years, we're excited about rush for a change, and as for myself, I've learned a lot about life and myself over the last couple monthes, and I know this is gonna be the best yr ever.

Wow...I can't believe summer is almost over. My best part? I finally learned to drive, got my driver's license, learned to drive a stick shift, and got my first car, all in the space of three months.
I can't wait to get back to college and see my friends, though...

The best part of my summer was this past weekend. I met up with several sisters in DC. It was great! I've also spent a lot of time with my family this summer, and that was nice. However, I'm QUITE happy that fall is almost here. I hate the summer!

I'm kind of glad to go back to school! I can't wait! but my summer was awesome! I turned 21 this summer so I've pretty much been haning out, going to bars and going to the beach. Getting some sun and a cool tan. This has been an awesome summer! I especially enjoy $1 drink night and when the oh so drunk guys at the bars buy you drinks all night.

Where did it go?

Was at a wedding over last weekend and our nephew heads back next week for RA training.

Son is leaving Monday to get his apartment in shape for the school year. Been fun having him home for the summer -- the the "empty next" ain't so bad either.

The highlight of my summer was, without a doubt, the Sigma Alpha Iota National Conventioin, July 31-Aug. 4. I'm still on a natural high from it. I met SOOOO many sisters (including RedRoseSAI) and bought tons of SAI merchandise!!

My summer was fast and hectic - no time for fun. I was going to school and working for June and most of July.

After school ended, I had/have 4 weeks in between school starting again. I've got 1 1/2 weeks left.

My body finally caught up with my hectic schedule and I've basically been unable to get out of bed for the last few days.

But the high points of my summer were:
having awesome seats at a James Taylor show AND getting his autograph on a poster

making major headway on wedding plans (I've booked a church, a reception site, have a verbal commitment from a caterer, picked out a dress (haven't ordered yet), and secured all the members of my bridal party)

SAI's Centennial Convention was the highlight for me, too. It's kind of a shame, though...I was so focused on Convention that I feel like other things passed me by, even though in retrospect, I did do a lot of fun stuff this summer. But yeah, it's really wizzed by. Doesn't help that Chicago summers don't truly start until late June or so.

This has been such a great summer! I'm sad to see it go, but excited for what the fall holds. This is my last summer as a "kid," so I had a blast.

I worked as an RA for our summer program, this is my second year so I got a raise. It's really chill, so I'm able to do whatever I want--just as long as I see each girl at least once a day.

Spent a lot of time with the sisters I'm closest to.

Got to do some traveling around New England.

I moved into my NYC apartment Monday, and I'm packing up my place in Providence as we speak. I go home to Florida for two weeks, then I report in Manhattan for Orientation. Woo-hoo!

I found out that a diamond ring is in my near future...

This summer sucks the hairy ass of a gorilla. All I've done is wait tables. Would you like more tea?

For all the good things that have happened this summer, I have been looking forward to going back to school almost the whole time. And, yes, I am looking forward to Rush too. Really! At the beginning of the summer, I was scheduled to miss work week and rush, and those are the two biggest bonding weeks of the year, so I am so pumped that I get to be there for it. That, and I am sick of sitting around my house and want the regular schedule that school provides.
