Question Do you know?

Does anyone know about the AKA's at Loyola University in the Maryland area? I heard that they had a line cross over. I think that I know someone that may have been on that line (my cuz). Could someone give a little info on that?

Question

I applied to Loyola College and I wasn't aware they had Alpha Kappa Alpha there. In fact I went to the national website and they have no chapter listing for that school. Are you sure it wasn't Loyola College in New Orleans?

I thought that they were being brought in by a neighboring university or college. (something like that). Loyola in Maryland is really a predomately a white school. There are very few black students. Almost as scarse as white students in a black college. Even though some black uni.'s have quite a few white students.
Again....I not sure. But use this info. I gave here and reply.

Well I don't think I can help you there. It's hard to find out about this kind of stuff since these women didn't cross at their own school. I am well aware that blacks are scarce at Loyola, but unless they are chartering a chapter I don't see how they were allowed to cross at another school. I might be wrong about the rules of where you can become a member so you might want to ask a member. Ciao!

They weren't brought in AT another school. Another school helped them come in at THEIR school. Because they were supposed to not have had an active chapter at Loyola (Maryland).
