Arrow A Sister in need...

This message was recently posted on the Beta Bulletin Board. Please consider sending a card to this sister. Brighten a sister's day. Maybe save a life.

"A Sister Needs Your Consideration... > > My dear friend and Beta Sister "Sam" got some bad news this week. Her breast cancer has returned (3 1/2 years of remission) and has parked itself on her right lung. She will begin chemo next Friday. > > One of the things I remember from the first round with this nasty disease - is how much she loved the cards that we sent to her. She lined them all up in her living room and they sustained her through the months of chemo. Doesn't matter if you knew you or not - she read and appreciated every one of them. > > If you get a chance - please pray for her (she and I both believe in prayer) - please keep her in your thoughts and send a card if you can. She is a wonderful person and a great friend and this is one of those things I know I can do for her that will help. Thank you soooooo much > > Judi Hall Xi Gamma Pi Chapter Her Name and Address is: > > Sandy Michael > 208 Tudor Drive > Winchester, VA 22603"

Suggest her doctor call Dana/Farber Cancer Institute

Beta Sigma Phi gives a great deal of money to Dana-Farber Cancer institute. I'd suggest her doctor call their and ask if there are any new treatments she might benefit from. We are supporting two different breast cancer experimental treatments, one is a vaccine the other a treatment using the person's own dendritic cells. Tell the doctor to use our name when asking for help or advice. Dana-Farber is very happy for our support and may be able to offer more hope.
