hey hey SniffDZN...im a DG wayyyyyy over here at the Univ of North Florida

i saw your question and thought id try to explain a little to ya about what anchor splash is...although im sure some of the events are a little different for each chapter at each school. basically, anchor splash is our annual fundraiser to raise money for our philanthropy...service for sight!! during the week there are different events for everyone to compete in...a Most Beautiful Eyes Contest, where we take a picture of someones eyes from each team and paste them on a milk jug and then the teams go around campus trying to collect the most money...and whoever has the most money wins Most Beautiful Eyes...we have a banner contest...etc. then, the final day of anchor splash...usually on a saturday, is the MAIN EVENT

we go to the pool on campus...and hold a bunch of relays for the teams to compete in and the final event is a VERY VERY VERY entertaining synchronized swimming competition...especially when you have a fraternity so delicately swimming in the water haha! but the relays...they usually are like swimming with one person in a tube and the others pushing...or...swimming one length of the pool with a t-shirt, getting out and having to take the wet t shirt off and switch it on to your partner and havin to swim back the fastest....and then just some other basic relays, but i think thats the best DAY of it all! and its all for a good cause! i know we have done this once...and so have other schools...but there is also Anchor Slam...which is also TONS OF FUN (moreso because i LOVE basketball)! its the same idea...except, its a basketball tourney instead of the swimming relays...WOW this is a flippin long post, but i hope i helped ya out! and good luck with anchor splash!
