Well, its been pretty interesting so far...
Best drafts:
1) Baltimore: getting what they need to get back on top
2) Cincinnati: wow, I know
3) Detroit: gonna be a division champ in two years, powerful tools
Worst drafts:
1) Kansas City: got all of what they dont need, none of what they do
2) Minnesota: were they drunk?
3) Buffalo: see Kansas City
just my opinion of course, feel free to dispute

While I agree with your picks for best draft, I don't think KC and Buffalo had bad ones.
KC got a stud running back in Larry Johnson that will be a 3rd down back that will get playing time. In getting him, they traded down and have more picks tomorrow that will enhance their overall draft. Plus, they got a LB in the 2nd round that they needed.
Buffalo got McGahee...they need a solid RB. Willis will be that man. Their 2nd round pick was Chris Kelsay from Nebraska, who is an absolute stud that was projected in the late 1st and fell that far. Big time steal for the Bills.
Basically, the 2 best RBs available went to these teams, and they went late in round 1. There is never a sure thing at RB (see Terrell Davis, Edgerrin James, etc.), so an insurance back is a great pick for both teams.

Man, I can't be a Bucs fan anymore if Chrissy Simms is going to be playing for them. I'm disappointed. If they sign Mark Mariscal (Punter from Colorado, Ray Guy award winner), though, I'll forgive them. Tupa needs a reliable backup.
Jacksonville got a good deal with Byron Leftwich -- it'll be interesting to see who else they take to complement him. Did Minnesota fall asleep?
I'm surprised that no one's taken Dorsey yet, but I be he goes early tomorrow.

I'll agree with you on one point...Leftwich could be awesome, I think Jacksonville did a good job getting him.
However, NO ONE was high on Dorsey, I would have been more surprised if he went the first day. Those who say he won and put up numbers in college - so did Danny Wuerfful (sp?), and look how he is now.

It didn't seem to me that Dorsey was really what people want in a pro QB. People like Carson Palmer (he must succeed in the 'Nati) and Byron Leftwich have that size, arm strength, and such.

I honestly think there's any way he'll be more than a backup. He's pretty good against teams like N. Texas.. But when he has to go up against a decent defense he'll have trouble.

I don't know...the guy's got talent, and no matter which school you play for, if you've got legit skills you can play anywhere (see Alcorn State alum Steve McNair, or Mississippi Valley's Jerry Rice). I think, if his injury is straight, the guy will be awesome; he'll need protection because he's not the swiftest of quarterbacks, but he'll be good if he's got it.

You seem to be talking about Leftwich. That guy's going to be great.
Simms though? Talent? If you think that you've been paying too much attention to that Texas media conspiracy

haha, sorry dude, i thought you were ripping on leftwich.
i question simms' guts a lot, which takes a lot since i was a big fan of his father. i'm sketchy on him as an nfl starter.
i was totally talking about leftwich..i think he'll turn out as the best qb of this draft.

I think Buffalo was fine at RB with Travis Henry, the 4th leading runner in the AFC. Also, Kansas City really should have gone all out on defense, since they had such an atrocious one last season.
Oh, and what the hell happened to Brad Banks? From Heisman candidate to nobody?
Jason Gesser?

kt,
It's the Burnt Orange Media Conspiracy (BOMC) get it right
5 Aggies go on the first day of the draft........how the hell did we underachieve and go 6-6?? That right there is a testimony to the fact that RC Slocum was great at getting less from his players than other coaches....thank god for Coach Fran!!!
I think the Texans did alright in the draft. They're talkin like Andre Johnson should compete for playing time right away. I'm kinda shocked they didn't draft an O-lineman, considering they set the league record for sacks allowed last year, i'd have figured they might have tried to shore that up.
Kitso
KS 361 times i'm glad that the Texans drafted Dave Ragone instead of Chrissy

Sorry about that.
It's a real phenomenon though! They were going crazy at ESPN and Foxsports over Chrissy going so late
Prediction: He doesn't make the team and ends up coaching next to Applewhite
