Talking I have a problem and so do you all

Okay, I was going to put ya'll in the subject line but decided that makes me look more hick than I am! Anyways, I just noticed that all AGD's on this board except one are senior members (or moderators). Now, I check GC all the time... more than my e mail. I have a problem. I love to see new posts and replies to posts and arguments and everything. I think I need to go into treatment. For about two months I backed off but you know I couldn't stay away. AACK!! Anyways, it is just nice to know that my sisters have the same problems too! BTW I think that we have lots of class on this boards cause we are the only ones who act like real people on here!

Just about every sorority's homepage... like www.chiomega.org or www.deltadeltadelta.org Most of them will have interesting facts, unless you go to www.alphagammadelta.org then you will find a really sad homepage

Sisters, thank you all for being such wonderful people on GC...and thank you for keeping this forum drama-free!

Jen-all my AGD knowledge comes directly from the Quarterly, New Member Manual, or just plain remembering. The message about Amber posing in Playboy sounded kinda fishy because I remember reading an article saying she said no. Whatever the case may be...google.com usually does the job for me!

Leslie-along with visiting the national websites, I think there are a few old posts regarding little tidbits about the other sororities (ya just hafta dig em out). I know that DZ and XO have "Trivia" threads going...so you can check there too. Or--you could email some members of the respective orgs. What you could also do is ask Barbara (PnguinTrax) to move your topic out of Rush and into Greek Life. Maybe it'll get more responses there.

Hi, my name is Megan and I'm addicted to the internet. Is there a 12 step program for us
internet addicts? I am ALWAYS online- ask Jen if you don't believe me! I got on tonight after work and started my AOL IM, and one of my friends said, 'do you ever sign off?' I think that might be a sign...

LOL, I agree with you! I am addicted to the Internet - PERIOD. Email was my main addiction, but this is becomming a close second. Hey, Teeny - I have a question! How do you get all of your facts and figures over there?! You're like a resource book yourself!! I appreciate it, especially when you're proving people right or wrong in the General areas. I agree, we are the more sane group on GC. LOL, that's AGD for ya...

I totally agree about being addicted...I joined less than a month ago, and have been checking it everyday since. As a matter of fact, I did not even notice when I became a senior memeber.

I know what everyone means! I just joined and now I check the pages all the time. I'm going to have GC withdrawal symptoms if I go away for vacation!

I am such an addict that even I can't stay away from the boards when on a vacation.

Last January I went to LA to meet my BF's parents for the first time...and I kept coming onto GC when the BF was in the shower.

ROTFL! My husband is always catching me checking the boards! I think he thinks I'm too old for this. GC is my 'guilty pleasure,' but at least its healthier than Ben and Jerry's!!!
OTW, the next time you are in LA you have to look me up. We went to Maui and Big Island for our honeymoon last year and were just amazed at how beautiful it is!

Even I have to admit...I like playing tourist on Maui and the Big Island. It is beautiful!

Where in LA are you from? My BF is originally from Torrance. We were supposed to come back this summer, but I chose Convention in Atlanta. The BF and I are hoping to return sometime around Thanksgiving or Christmas.

We live on the Westside of LA, not far from Torrance at all. Its about a 25 minute drive up the 405. I hope you decide to come around Thanksgiving--I will be out of town around Christmastime.

Oh, today I was talking with some women at the office I am interning at and I have found that we cover four campuses and there is a mix of Kappa Alpha Thetas, Alpha Delta Pi's, Zeta Tau Alpha's and us!! How fun! Just thought I would tell you. Anyone have any "I made friends with an AGD someplace other than my chapter" stories? I'd love to hear any!

Cool

Last Valentines' Day, my sisters and I (with our SOs) went on a very elegant sunset dinner cruise. After dinner, before the entertainment began, the musicians wanted to acknowledge some of the different groups on the boat...after he had introduced the ladies of Alpha Gamma Delta, we heard a woman from the other side of the room saying "HEY! I'M AN ALPHA GAM TOO!". We found out that she is an alumna of the U of Michigan chapter, and we spent most of the night taking pictures with her. She wanted to show off her chance meeting with us to all her alumnae chapter sisters!

On three occasions, while shopping at the Navy Commissary, I've run into Alpha Gams who've stopped and had a conversation with me after seeing one of my many AGD shirts. They were all military wives and fairly new to Hawaii, so I gave them the contact information for our Junior Circle and Alumnae chapter presidents, and last I heard, they are having a fabulous time here, and they have AGD-Hawaii to thank!

Since I started summer school last month, I've met a Pi Phi, a Pike,a TKE, an ADPi, an XO, and a Sigma Chi...all in my history class. We all come from different campuses, and it's great to see all those GLOs represented!
