Lightbulb Wedding Dress...

FOR Sale!

Yes that's right. I have a dress for sale and since some of my fellow Greekchat gals have gotten engaged, I thought "why not? Some happy girl could use a gown.
The story is, at one time I was engaged. Then we broke it off before the wedding but after I bought the dress. I never wore it and I never had it altered. I hd it cleaned and it's still in the bag. I know this is not Ebay or whatnot but if I can help a girl find that dress ...

here is the link to the pics.
Mori Lee Wedding dress

If you like it send me a PM. We can work something out. PS I bought the dress for $550 but if you're nice I sell it for $300

********Double spaghetti strapped pale ivory ballgown. It has simple pearl and crystal beading on the torso. The torso is white and the bottom from the waist down is pale ivory. From the waist down it is plain on the front and on the train, it has a v-shaped lace closer to the bottom. It's not an over-encrusted 80's style gown. It's a very tasteful dress. Also, there are NO bows on this dress. It's great for a woman with a small frame like me; I'm 5'2. The neckline is square. On the back of the torso, it has buttons but it is a zip up with a hook at the top. It has N-E-V-E-R worn because the wedding was called off. I had it cleaned and it is in it's original bag. It's in exellent condition. It's perfect for a summer evening (formal) wedding. It's a size 10 but in street clothes it's between a 5/6 and 7/8. Never been altered either. It's a stunning gown which is why I bought it.

I had tried twice to sell my wedding dress last year...both times without success. I had created my own webpage and enclosed that in ALL emails. I had it on Ebay TWICE for an UNBELIEVABLE amount ($250). I still have it.

I'd suggest you list it on Ebay or in your local newspaper.

Hey NP...
How easy would it be to take in??? I'm 5'2" but I wear a 2 or a 4 BUT I have a large chest. If I could take it in in the waist and hips, you might have yourself a deal

I had it on a website called Craigslist.org and got 1 response but the chick flaked on me I'm avoiding Ebay due to the fact they allow fraternity and sorority pins(badges)to be sold and I disagree with that. If all else fails, I will try the SF Chronicle.

Your dress is very beautiful. I wanna get married someday really soon. Only problem, my boyfriend thinks we are too young (22 years old turning 23 this year). I understand that we still have years infront of us, but all my friends are getting married and I have nothing. Not to mention the fact that I am an alumna and I totally missed out my chance of having a candle pass! Anyway, I just had to get that out. Congrats to all the lucky people out there who are married and are planning on getting marrried soon. I wish you the best of luck.

Jadey

Gorgeous dress! I am going to tell you that wedding dresses are hard to resell. Yours has an advantage because it's never been altered. However, you are 5'2", so that's going to be a little difficult.

I know from experience. After I left my husband, about a year later, I decided to get rid of my dress. That was ULTRA hard to do. My dress was BEAUTIFUL!!! Mine was custom made- lace, satin, hand beading...the works. Even had a handmade crinoline and headpiece. At the time, I was 5'3", wearing a woman's 26/28. This was back when plus-sized gowns weren't as popular as they are now. So, I took it to a consignment shop. The dress didn't sell in 6 months, and they were going to close the store down, so I told them to donate it to the Salvation Army. A $1300 dress donated to the Salvation Army!!! You know that hurt....

I said all that to say that you may have to really bargain in order to get your dress sold, or unfortunately, you may have to give it away.

Hope this helps...
