Golden Globes
I know it doesn't have as much clout as the Oscars, but I think the Golden Globes are much more fun to watch. People are a lot looser and it's more fun. I dunno... probably has something to do with the open bar...
Anyway, here are the nominations for this year. Looks pretty good. Personally I'm rooting for The Simpsons to win best comedy and Adaptation to win for most or all of its nominations. A fun note: Donald Kaufman got a nomination for his screenwriting in Adaptation even though he's a fictional chracter. Do you think the Globe people don't realize that or are they playing along?
