Money Makers

I hope recruitment went well for everyone. Now that most of us have our new members, the money making ideas are about to begin. We always help our new members raise money for their initiation fee because it costs sooo much money for them. So, if any of you need some ideas, this is what worked well for our sorority in the past:
1)have a party and charge people a dollar at the door
2)carwash
3)pie the prof...make your teachers volunteer to be pied (it's a lot of fun) and charge people a dollar for a chance to pie the prof
4)raffle off something really cute...we always do something that pertains to our football team cuz then all the foootball players want it, and it brings in lots of money
5)sell candy bars
6)set up a huge stereo on campus and bring lots of cd's and have a bucket out for donations, and charge people for requests
7)fill a jar with pennies and charge people to guess how many are in there, and if they win they get a date with one of our sisters

That always works well for us. And teaming up with other sororities ot fraternities to raise money can be a huge help. If you have any other ideas, feel free to post them. Every little bit helps. Good luck and happy money making!

Do you have a specific example? I'm just having a hard time picturing something "really cute" that a football player would want. Thanks for the ideas.

Yeah, I know it's hard to imagine something really cute that a football player would want...that's why we raffle ourselves off-lol! What football player wouldn't want a hot sorority girl to go out with? (I'm joking, I don't want anyone to think that we're conceited...but you never know, it could work. Maybe that will be our next raffle ;-) Seriously, we usually raffle off something that has to do with or mascot (we have a lion) and there are usually tons of stuff we can get or make that has to do with a lion. Last year we made this really awesome decorative football helmet, and it worked out great! I hope that helps you out.
