Unhappy Roofies, GHB, Whatever you've heard it called...

The following didn't happen on a college campus but it is a lesson for all women who go out and have a few drinks. No situation (including mixers) is completely safe. The issue of drugging someone's drink needs to be addressed and reiterated as much as possible.

I know that this is a topic we all hear too much about, but since it happened close to home, I'm writing.

Ladies, be very careful when you go out. We all think that people getting something slipped into their drink happens elsewhere. It happened to my roommate Friday. She was in a "safe" place (a local casino in Detroit) and with older women from work. She ended up in the emergency room with a temp of 92 and barely coherent. They say it's a good thing I was at home and able to see her deteriorate and not just think she was drunk. If I hadn't been there, she could have died.

She had 2 beers, bottled beers. Nothing is safe these days. Please, this is one of the scariest things that I have ever gone through and don't want anyone else to have to experience it either. BE CAREFUL!!!
