Quite the nice compliment...
So I get a call yesterday from Tim, the social chair to invite me to this place that just opened up for Karaoke. Normally I wouldnt go. Kareoke isnt my thing, but I told him i'd go. I only expect about 8-10 of the guys to be there. Since were a big city, its not really a collge town, but you do run into a lot of other kids in college. Theres just nowhere to go thats real college.
Anyway, I get there about 11:15 or so, planning to just have a beer and leave (not that I have EVER had just one beer). Theres a ton of people from the chapter there and lots of ladies. I was impressed.
I go to the pisser and this guy walks in about the same time as I do. As we're both washing our hands, he askes me if I was with the lambda chis. I tell him yes, but I am an alum of the chapter. He tells me, "I am a kappa Sig at St Marys (its across town) I am here with 4 of my brothers and I just wanted to say that ya'll have a great brothehood. Ya'll's comraderie is inspiring. Theres tons of ya'll, youre really friendly and I am amaized that ya'll have this many girls out and its not even a mixer. Ya'll made us feel right at home and very at ease. Thanks."
I shook his hand and thanked him for his compliment. Since that was such a great complimnet to get, I wentr over to the bar and sent him and his brothers a pitcher on the Lambda Chis.
How cool was that tho. Just the random compliment, and it ment so much to me. Just thought I'd share.

Did you wash hands before shaking hands?
Otherwise that's awesome. Congrats on your reputation sounds like it's well deserved.

I have to do this
Since OU/Texas is tomorrow...
Texans always have to wash their hands after peeing since they can't seem to control their flow.
HAHA, just kidding. Certainly a nice compliment that you received.

Aww, how cute. The Kappa Sig's at St. Mary's are a great group of guys, as are the Lambda Chi's from UTSA.

Hey, lifesaver
which bar was it. Been kind of looking for a place to chill. Since I miss the bars in a college town. San Antoino doesn't really cater to college students, more to club kids than anything else.

Aww I love this story. Our St. Mary's men do know to acknowledge something good when they see it. That was really sweet of them and of course congrats to you and your chapter! I always hear really nice things about you guys.
Always-
ili

I think that is so great! I think the Lambda Chi's at TAMU-K are very sweet as well. They are a great bunch of guys, and no matter what they are going through, they stick together and they have a lot of heart in everything they do !

random little tangent to this thread I have to add after seeing that quote:
This year our panhellenic recruitment shirts for the PNMs had that as the theme wtih an american flag on the back excpet the stripes were orange and the stars were tiger paws since we are the tigers...kinda cute and gets lots of compliments. sorry for the random tangent to the thread.
and yeah I LOVE LAMBDA CHIs too... they are a lot of fun to hang around with and just great guys in general...

What an awesome story!
You know lifesaver, I've noticed that too. I've met guys from several different chapters, and it always seems like your brotherhood is stronger than the other fraternities and you always just seem like such awesome guys! Keep up the great work!
I love my Lambda Chi boys!!!
