A Pep Talk
Starting a chapter from scratch was a brave thing to do. You had to take risks, make sacrifices, and put your pride on the line to get this chapter off the ground. Your dedication to making Nu Eta happen will not go unrewarded. Remember, as a Beta Sigma Phi, your mission is to spread Life, Learning, and Friendship to the world. Even if you only have six members who are truly giving their all, that's six women who are experiencing all that Beta has to offer--six women who will then spread the light of our Torch to more women.
I know that the technical aspect of starting and operating an active chapter can get in the way of the fun and the sisterhood we try to create. But don't be discouraged. The members who haven't been able to make time for the sorority and for their sisters will either go their own way or they will realize that they are missing out on a great experience, and they will decide to give Nu Eta their all. Don't keep your chapter on hold. Choose a meeting date, and make it happen! Decide on an event, and start planning. When things get moving, the sisters will get in the mood again. Remember your mission! You don't have to tackle anything big at first, but find a project that you and your sisters can really feel enthusiastic about.
Good luck!

P.S. My chapter is listed in the February Torch! WooHoo!
