Second, why spend the money!?! Lots of the parties we had were down by a river with bon-fires...open fields, unfinished roads/housing development streets, just plain out in the middle of nowhere! B]

Mikki,
Thank you so much for the suggestions.

Do you remember how we were talking about where we're from on another post and e-mail?
This particular response reminded me a lot of the year I spent in WV...we did a lot of outdoor parties there. In fact, I woke up on a mountain my first week of my frosh year of college. Not kidding...and that whole camping under the stars was a totally foreign experience for me...imagine my terror when I found out there were copperheads in the area the next AM!
I will continue to try and be resourceful, but I'm not sure how much we can do outdoors in Baltimore...it's just as scary as WV...except instead of poisonous/carnivorous wildlife, it's because of the high crime rate...
Thanks again though...you are absolutely right about the importance of working with established org's...so hopefully a few will be receptive to us...
