I wana transfer!!!
So... everytime I go to Bowling Green SU I realy wana transfer there. I go to Univ of Michigan Dearborn, and I really really wana live in a dorm and do all those fun things that commuter campuses don't get to do. I love the campus... it's small and cute, and like perfect. Plus it's only an hour away from my house. But, I like being a Wolverine (or Wolve) and I woudln't wana be anything else!
Have any of you ever visited another school and wanted to transfer so bad?

I want to transfer too! Desperately. I would love to go WU or Mizzou. WU is so rich that they have a freaking hotel on campus!

Indiana University and Ohio State both have hotels on their campuses. IU's is part of the student union which is supposed to be the biggest in the world (although they are constantly in a contest with Purdue on who is the biggest) I've stayed there, and it's pretty nice.
The Ohio University Inn was owned by the University when I was a student there. I don't know whether it still is a university property or whether it's been sold and retained the name.
As for BG, it is a nice school, but when I was in college we, somewhat ungraciously, called it "The High School on the Highway." (I-75)
My wife grew up about 20 minutes from there.

I think we (University of Iowa) have a hotel built into the student union... I've never been in it, but I don't think that it is very top notch... kinda old.

Heck yeah, I've wanted to transfer before! Not to anyplace in particular, just away from here--I'm a country girl, and I can't stand all the traffic, parking hassles, the fact that it takes 45 minutes to walk across campus, and all that other great stuff. I never did leave, though, 'cause I hate being a "quitter" and I want to be the first in my family to stick with it and graduate from this school. It really does my head in sometimes, though!

I wanted to transfer to Heidelberg College in Ohio. It's a beautiful campus, plus their locals rock, and I wanted to pledge one. (Before I was a Kappa D!)

I really wished I would have looked at Miami (Ohio). It's so beautiful. I almost transfered to Ohio State- I was accepted for the autumn quarter, but changed my mind. I just cant leave my little commuter/concrete campus.

U of Iowa does have a hotel, as does Northern IL University. Both are part of the student union and not too deluxe. I didn't think that was a big deal.
Being at the University of Iowa, I never wanted to transfer because I absolutely thought it was the most exciting college town EVER. However, I recently visited Madison and wondered why exactly I didn't go there. It is an absolutely gorgeous town, with pretty lakes and all kinds of exciting stuff to do.

I loved my school (University of Pittsburgh) and never wanted to go anyplace else. I DID however, wish the administration would transfer elsewhere!

I'm transferring to Ohio University this year from the school I went to in SC. I only wore my winter coat twice to class last year, so I'm gonna freeze my buns off getiing used to these Ohio winters again! I know a lot of people who went to BG and absolutely love it! They're pretty much known as the party school around here..

The class of the hotel at that school wasn't the one of Motel 6 or anything, it was more like Hilton or Embassy Suites.

The hotels at IU, Ohio and Ohio State are top rate. I think they contract their management out to organizations like Marriott, Hilton, etc.
They're really very nice.
KilarneyRose, you line about the administration really did make me laugh out loud.

I kinda wanted to transfer to NYU- cool school, but that would involve me living at home while going to college, which is not an option.

I am applying for a transfer to BG!!!! As a matter of fact, I have the filled-out application sitting right next to me as I type. My mom and I are going to visit some time within the next month or two. Yay, I am sooooooo excited!!!! Does anyone have any info. about BG that you'd like to share to help persuade me?
I am also interested in heading out to San Diego State Univ. (SDSU) or University of Washington (state, not D.C.); BG is my #1 choice though. Of course, I am not sure if I will transfer, I am just keeping my options open.
