Kappa Delta Songs!

I was wondering what KD songs everyone sings...nice and the naughty ones!

here is some of ours:

"Ta Da Da"
Ta da da KD, KD, KD
Ta da da KD, KD, KD
Ta da da Kappa Delta is the one for me
The others are fine,
but give me KD

Thats why I'm yelling with all of my might,
loyal forever to the green and white!

and of course I'm sure most of you know "Always think of KD"

Then right after initation we sing this song called "East Side, West Side" We all get in a HUGE circle in the street (remember...in our whites!) blocking every car trying to get through and hold hands swaying and singing...

East side , West side and all around the world
Here's to Kappa Delta
each and every girl agree that we are the best
Here's to Kappa Delta and...
(Sort of shouting)
To hell with all the rest!!!!!!!!

Those are what I can remember for now...I know there are more

Can you tell I am excited to move back into my house and ready for RUSH?!

Hey ladies! I had started a thread on this a while ago, and got some replies, but it's SO HARD to figure out how these songs go! They are all very cute, but does anyone know if Nationals has some sort of CD with songs and chants on it? Of course we all know the ritual songs, but we could all use new rush songs from time to time. One of the girls in our chapter wrote a really cute song about fraternities, and it goes to the tune of Ta da da, so I will try and write it down here for you. It's really long, and I probably won't remember all of the verses, because each number in a rotation group sang a verse. And of course, we only sang about a select few fraternities!

Start out singing Ta da da chorus...
Ta da da, KD KD
Ta da da, KD KD

It was a KD night you see,
There we were just watching TV,
We thought it'd be nice to hang with the guys,
So we went out to go socialize

First we stopped at the Lambda Chis
Oh they were some awesome guys
We walked right in, and had some fun
They said "Those KD's are number 1!"

We went out the door and saw a real cute guy,
He said "I'm a Beta Theta Pi"
He asked no questions and he told no lies,
And said pretty KD's come hang with our guys.

We drove down the road to the Sigma Nu's
They opened the door and said "We know you!"

Next we went to see the Phi Delts,

They were screaming "Hey KD's"
The guys treated us nice, they treated us right,
But it was getting late so we called it a night.

Kappa Sig was last but not least,

The cutest boys for the cutest ladies

We had a great time with the fraternities,

Sorry so long! I may have messed up some of the verses, but it is a really cute song and we usually do it on Philanthropy day during rush.

Who came up with that song? Was it from many girls or did one person write it? Anyhow, it's nice.

By the end of the fall you will have to edit that song. PIKE will be in place of Kappa Sig. Maybe you will be able to single me out in the crowd at fat tuesdays on tuesday night in Ybor. Just look for the guy who walks in like a rock star. :-)

I believe HQ DOES have recordings of songs, etc for rush. But you can always post a note in my newsletter, asking for advice. People do that all the time.

At one point, I had asked a KD to record some Mp3's of KD songs & I'd put them on the KD Yahoogroup file section - we also have a lot of songs posted there too. (To join, check out the link in my sig.)

BTW, In This Very Room makes me cry...it's the first KD song our chapter learned and we sang it at our installation for all the national officers.

This is the one we've been singing during Recruitment for years.... I think Epsilon chapter made it up, because it's to the tune of the LSU fight song:
