What's the WORST t-shirt you had to wear

only being in my chapter for only a year, you had the oppurtunity to get willed down some sorority stuff. well when the seniors are about ready to graduate they collect all their sk stuff into a huge box and pass it along to lower classman. i was willed down a 1989 (i was only 6) bid day tshirt that had blue and pink tie die and had holes all over it. all the letters on it were starting to fade and you couldnt even read it. it was hidieus! as of this moment, i have started my own box of stuff to will down and that tshirt will be the first thing to go!!!!

the worst shirt i got was from my big (yea it was a hand me down).. its a sweatshirt and its so old that the inside is getting like rough and all balled out (you know how sweatshirts get)>...its greyand has letters on it and theyre SO ugly...they look like wallpaper from the early 80s or something...theyre like blue with these tiny pink flowers that kind of looks like queen anne's lace... and then its got lace around the letters....

i havent worn it once.

My big sister made me a sweatshirt when I was initiated that was HORRIBLE!!

She took a pair of cordoroys that she didn't wear anymore and cut them up to make me letters (I think she may have had a matching pair....). They are so ugly!!

So my family now has a tradition of passing them down and making the youngest wear them at least once!!

Well I am a sorority WOMAN too and I wear a small as do many of my sisters. In fact most of the WOMEN in sororities on my campus wear smaller sizes...

Don't get so uppity.....

If you're going to give out mass quantity t-shirts, you shouldn't do it in XL, because Carolina is right, by no means does the majority of women wear XL, think about the wording for the size itself....I get annoyed too because whenever people issue championship shirts and whathaveyou, they always give me XL, and I just don't even take them because I cannot wear them...

anyway, she never said ONLY smalls and mediums...but perhaps offer them

Well how about the sorority events which only give out shirts up to XL. Being 6'8" means anything less than XXXL looks like a midrif shirt on me...My rush shirt from my AM semester is an XXL and it's shrunk to an XL now so I can't even wear it...pisses me off but oh well...I usually have to pay the extra 3-5 bucks for the third X but if it means I can wear the shirt after I wash it once...I'll pay it...
Greeks come in all shapes and sizes...even Big and Tall...hehe

And what do you suggest that those of us who do wear a large or extra-large should do when they go around handing out smalls and mediums? an XL can be shrunken down a bit, there's no way you are fitting me into a small..... not without a team of the worlds best seamstresses!!

As a small woman, I HATE wearing an XL, but it's true, I can fit into it, whereas a XL woman can't fit into a small!

Still, it would be nice to have a variety of sizes sent to you. I don't see why anyone should be stuffed into a too-small shirt or swamped in a big one.

The worst shirt I had to wear was during my 2nd year (first time on the active side of recruiment) - we had these big frumpy tees, which no one at UBC wears, everyone wears small size tees or baby tees.

here is my worst....

a mustard-gold colored T-shirt with a snake with wings on the back that said "Every time a pi phi sings a sigma nu gets his wings" It had a typo on the front. It said "Relay's 2002"

No one in our chapter wears it anymore...

As for the size issue...
Small girls can wear an XL or Large, simple shrink it down and do what all the girls here do, tie it up in the back.

Well to add fuel to the extra large fire... one of the worst shirts i got was an extra large... but it was more long than it was wide... so any shrinking i tried to do wouldn't have worked. I am 5'1 and the shirt goes down to my knees. But all it is is a grey t-shirt with pink and blue embroidered letters on the left chest with "lil sis" below it. It's not that bad but it looks disproportioned on a big shirt. My Great Great Grand sis gave it to me and it was from her big sis. I might wear it to bed once in a while.

And to add my two cents... majority of my girls in my sorority are L-XL. We do have our small ones... but it's not fair to say they just don't exist. Same goes for the rest of the sororities on campus as well.
