1904 badge returned to Chi Omega

Neat story- a gentleman who is married to a Phi Mu always scans Ebay to find badges for her. He came across a really unusual badge. It was so much smaller than the other badges. He bought it for $16.00. Turns out - it was a 1904 Chi Omega badge and he just returned it to headquarters! What a thoughtful guy!

That's the most adorable thing! What a sweetheart. I'm a Phi Mu.... I hope I find a fella like that.

Congrats on getting that badge back. I always get a funny feeling in the pit of my stomach when I see one of our badges on e-bay... like something so special to me shouldn't be where just anyone could pick it up. I was comforted though when I read on our website that often a greek member forgets to include directions for returning a badge in his/her will, or to mention it to the surviving spouse..... so it's sold in an estate sale and such.

I wonder what our organizations do with all the badges that DO get returned?

Thanks for the response!
We had a Phi Mu from IU live with us (her sister was a Chi O and when she transferred to ISU [which does not have Phi Mu] - she lived with us)- she was the most kindest and beautiful girl! We loved her!

Thanks for stopping by!
Sue

Thanks Sue! I was a little nervous to say anything because I've sneaked on and read a couple of you guys' threads.... and noticed that on a lot of campuses, apparently Chi Omega & Phi Mu are not the friends they could be.

Which is kinda too bad considering we're two of the BEST sororities.... ;-)
