Angry Obnoxious Commercials

I know we have threads about favorite commercials and freaky commercials, but which ones do you just find really annoying?

* The split screen Wizard air-freshener commercial where there isn't room for a plug....just unplug something for goodness sake!
* The frickin' dancing Joe Boxer guy
* The Bell Tire woman

The little boy who is eating and eating and eating and wiping and wiping and wiping his face with napkins till there is a HUGE pile...It kind of "grosses me out".

I'll chime in on Joe Boxer though my daughter thinks its hilarious.

THE VIAGRA COMMERCIAL! All of a suden this guy has pep in his step!

Does anyone have the "BIG MOUTH" wireless phone commercial? They have distorted the faces so the mouths are HUGE and the people look like they are severely deformed.

The Progresso soup ads that say "you're a grown up and grown ups don't eat condensed soup." @#$% you, Campbell's is the best.

Oh, and the "pearl pearl, she's a pearl girl" ads for Tampax...only because the friggin' song sticks in my head the rest of the day after I hear it." (Not to mention that it completely discredits Tampax's whole "we are better because we have cardboard applicators and care about the environment" selling point.)

For all 3 of you who get the Pittsburgh business infomerical channel.....There is one for Gloria Horn Sewing Studio. It is these middle aged women wearing sequined vests & cowboy hats line dancing & lip-syncing to their theme song. "Come on down to Gloria Horn.....you'll be glad that you did...."etc..... But it's the same 5 line song being sang over and over and over again. And it sticks in your head!!!! *beating head against desk* It's so lame, it's fascinating.

Any of you living in the SoCal area knows about Cal Worthington. This guy is a character. He's a car salesman in North San Diego who films commercials with animals like bears and horses and other stuff. He has this cowboy get up but you can tell dude grew up nowhere near a ranch. Dude applies the show polish to the dome because NO ONE"s hair is THAT black and shiny no matter how old he is.

Anyways, he gets on TV with this HILARIOUS jingle

"When you wanna good old car, go see Cal, when you wanna real good deal go see cal"

Sung to the theme "When you're happy and you know it clap your hands"

Then they cut to him and he speaks like an auctioneer:

"I got a BEAUTIFUL 99 Chevy Cavalier, Thirty Four Nine Ninty Five, I got a PRETTY LITTLE Ford Escort, Sixty Four Nine Ninty Five."

And he speaks so fast that you can't remember any of those deals.

Cal rocks, I remember seeing him when I was five, and he looked like he was 75 then, and I'm twenty now.

The Bell Tire woman
I think Bell Tire (and the annoying spokeswoman who I think is the owner's daughter) is only in Michigan! I hate them! And I always see about 20 whenever I am home! "Not clothing attire! A tire!!!"

And do they really need to show the close up of the string and the applicator! Yuck!

Do we have anyone from Orlando in here? There's these godawful Family AutoMart commercials down here that play at like, midnight and they are so incredibly obnoxious. But my boyfriend and his fraternity brothers love it. I don't hate it as much as I used to, because the jokes we make about it now are funny, but those guys are on crack.

This is old school (I haven't seen it in a few years), but is the commerical that wins my personal "most annoying of all time" award. It's the Arby's one with the guy walked along in an empty city, screaming "Where is everybody? Where'd everyone go?" and this other guy walks up and says "Arby's 99 cent roast beef sale".

Ugh. Stooooopid!

The Tampax new Pearl tampons. Has anybody noticed that the women featured in the tampon commercials look a little too happy? They've always got these huge smiles on their face and look like they're enjoying every second of their day. I'm sorry but when I have my period I am not the most joyous person in the world.
"Pearl, pearl...she's a pearl girl...." AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

The Tampax commercial....

The Joe Boxer commercials are especially disturbing...

The Geico commercials where the gecko is running through the field to embrace some woman, or where she's spinning him in circles in said field...

The new eBay commercials w/ the parody of "My Way," or whatever that Sinatra song is...

That's all I can think of for now, but I'm sure there are more.

Old Navy has yet to put out a commercial that doesn't annoy me.

Some of the newer drug ads just show happy people running through fields with a voiceover of "Ask your doctor about _____" - They don't even tell you what the drug is supposed to treat!

Somehow I've managed to miss the Tampax ads. From what it sounds like, I'm not missing much!

We have this fat guy that does local commercials for just about everyone. Sells Satellite dishes, carpet and several other products. He came out of nowhere. Famous for his bugged out eyes and strange gestures..

I particularly hate the new "Family Fleece" commercials where the American Idol kids cheer "Hoodies in the House!"
