Did anyone watch the Divas special last night?
I wasn't too thrilled with any of them to tell you the truth. Here are my thoughts:
I thought that Ellen was hilarious singing Shoup.
Celine and that other chick (that sounded like a man) that opened up the show were okay. It's amazing to me that Celine Dion still has the same body as she did before she had her child. I hope I'm that lucky.
Cher got slammed last time for lip synching Do You Believe...now we all know why she lip synched it last time. You cannot sing a song live that has most of the the vocals altered. Her next couple of songs were much better but I don't think that they required a wig change...did anyone catch that?
I think Shakira did a pretty good job.
I think Mary J. and Whitney were absolutely awful last night and I love their music. When Whitney came out it look like she just took a hit off of a crack pipe or something and her dress looked like shit.
The Dixie Chicks were okay. They were part of the reason that I wanted to watch it. I was hoping they would sing more of an upbeat song and with the outfits that they were wearing they could have gone back to using the name Dixie Chickens. I thought it was great when they teamed up with Stevie Nicks to sing my favorite Fleetwood Mac song.
I don't think that I missed anybody.
Overall, I think that they could have done a much better job. If you missed it last night don't worry...you really didn't miss anything.
