Killed at Kennywood

Please say a prayer for all those injured and the one woman killed at Kennywood Park in Pittsbugh (Stephanie Wilkerson). Kennywood is an amusement park, and today we had a 20 minute storm, which may have turned into a tornado (in Turtle Creek - near me and 33girl) The building surrounding our Whip ride was moved 20 feet and killed one, and injured many. My power was out for over 4 hours, and we were hit pretty good...

A 20 minute storm... - geez.....

The amusement park I worked at after freshman year of college (Lake Compounce in Connecticut) is owned by the same people who own Kennywood.

I'll keep those injured in my prayers.

OMG, how terrible! The Whip was one of my favorite rides at Kennywood when I was growing up. My prayers go out to the victims and their families.

I saw my two sisters who work there, one being my two big, and they are fine but they said it was horrible- benches and trees being thrown everywhere, and its covered in leaves. They saw people running everywhere bleeding.... Ky works right by the whip and she said she saw the sky spinning. They think it was an F1. They said it lasted like 3 minutes...

*sigh*

Thank God theyre safe!

Oh my, that is awful! A friend of mine who lives in the area where Regent Square becomes Wilkinsburg told me that it was really crazy, branches and things coming down everywhere. I am very glad to hear that the Pgh area GCers are ok.

My violet sister works there too and I was worried she got hurt but thankfully she had left an hour beforehand. She also told me the terrible mess it is. Very sad indeed.
