KD Recruitment...How did everyone do?
Hi guys!
I thought we could all keep updated on KD recruitment everywhere! Maybe write in when you get a chance and tell us how your chapter did? I know recruitment starts at different times, but we could post as we go through.
Hope all is well!

Great idea, ecukd! We have deferred recruitment here, so I would *love* to hear what worked/what didn't from other chapters! I love ya'll!

Well... This is a story.
Recruitment didn't go so great for us. We had a great recruitment! The CAB even told us after our last party, we were sure to get at least five new girls.
We got three. The after-recruitment party was at my house, so we all went there with our new members, and it rained, so everyone left early.
I get to school on Monday, post notes for them on the Greek messageboard.
Wednesday, I find out that all three of them dropped.
Thursday, I find out that since they didn't sign their bid cards, they all went to other sororities. -_-
The point? We got ZERO for formal.
However, we got the BEST new members in informal. They are the two sweetest girls! And they already are doing so much for chapter, too.
And that... is my story. A little late, but then, so am I. ^^

Keep your chin up girl! *hugs* I know this is a VERY tough situation to deal with, as my chapter has been through some rough spots as well. Just keep COB-ing girls...where there two came from....more are to follow!! Whatever you do, don't give up!!!

I go to the University of Pittsburgh and I just pledged fall of 2001. For our campus, houses are maxed at 60 for everyone. Our chapter had been going downhill in the past few years, but my pledge class in the fall had 23 girls in it (the biggest on campus) and this semester we got 11 more (the biggest on campus again) of the best KD ladies there could ever be. Now we're at total with a ton of brand new highly motivated members that are so excited to be KD..me included We were even voted best sorority on campus by our school paper this semester.

New KDs
Well, this was Eta Gamma's first formal recruitment (we have deferred recruitment)...we got 7 great girls through formal recruitment and then began informal recruitment. We picked up 3 more girls right away and from what I hear (I was out of town for the last MSS), we extended 8 more bids, so I'll find out after spring break how many of those girls decided to join. So, as of right now, 10 new ladies for sure, with another possible 8 out there. Hope everyone else did well too!

Eta Gamma = John Carroll?
If so, I have been recruiting like mad for you girls!
I'm a telecounselor for Bethany College, and we call prospective students who filled out a college fair card for us or whatever. Recently, a lot of the people who I call are going to John Carroll. Everytime a female tells me that, I say that I have sisters there (she prob thinks biological, but it works! LOL). I always ask these girls if they are interested in sororities, b/c KD has a wonderful new chapter there. They get so excited! *grins*
Sounds like your chapter is doing great! Congrats!!!!

KD Honey: How are all the groups that went National doing? Has the change been hard or pretty much uneventful?

Lexi,
Everyone's been doing pretty well, although it seems like our transition has been one of the easiest Some of the chapters will still have consultants living with them next year, but we're pretty much ready to be on our own. It's definitely been an exciting and interesting time for all the groups.
