Question Where has the VP been since 9/11?

This is my shot as a National Enquirer reporter (*L*) so here goes... :-)

Has anyone seen or heard from Vice President Dick Cheney since the events of 9/11? On that day, it was reported that he was sent to Camp David for obvious safety reasons. Since 9/11 I have not seen him on any tv news, newspapers, etc.. I also haven't heard any statements from him as well. I am beginning to wonder if he was in the Pentagon that day and if he is alive. I could understand our gov't wanting to keep this a secret (to keep moral, unity, and our country's spirit's up) but still.....

Is it just me or have I "been sippin on too much 'yak" ? LOL

I asked my husband the same thing a few days ago. Inquiring minds want to know.

Here’s what a co-worker told me… (Disclaimer: this could be wrong) Apparently, the VP must remain a specific distance from the President at all times… just in case there’s an attack on the President. From what he said, it makes sense that he wouldn’t be out and about. I’ve seen Chaney on the news a few times doing almost nothing. But I live in the DC area so maybe it’s just news to us.

It's not at all times, but in times of crisis. He's been on some tv shows, but that's all I've seen or heard. The sketch they did on Saturday night live about Bush's fainting episode, suggesting that Cheney was abusing Bush like a domestic violence situation was really funny.

You're right... I actually did mean since 9/11 and should have said so. Thanks for clarifying.

Cool

Hey Soror Urbane,
Greetings, I'm in the DC area as well and am looking to transfer my membership to a local chapter. Got any thoughts?

And you're absolutely right about the VP - I work at the State Dept and we were essentially told the same thing - the guise is to keep Cheney distanced from Bush at this time of on going crisis.

Sisterly,

Where has the VP been?

He's been shredding Enron documents and cruising on yachts with the Execs who cashed out early!

20Pearlz, I'm interested but not a member.

And... Prayerfull, I agree... shredding and burning! I read an article the other day where a someone took the time to piece together a shredded document from the garbage.... then used it as evidence in a trial. All I got to say... either keep it clean or start burning chit!!
