Artist George Rodrigue, the painter of the Blue Dogs from Louisiana, also died on Saturday. He was very well known and his paintings sold for upwards of $100,000. He has two studios, one in New Orleans and one in Carmel, CA.

I keep misreading it as "three s" , not "threes" and at first I thought "what is this? some kind of advanced 3D movie or something?"
