This mom is going crazy!!!
I've been on this forum everyday for two months! Sweet girl is rushing at U of Alabama and I'm finally crashing. Soooo very nervous and excited for her! I just have to hold it together for a few more days but man...how do you guys do it? Of course she's as calm as can be and sounds extremely reasonable. ARGH!! This is tough. It's not like I have a job I'm neglecting and other children... This is so embarrassing. Whew. Now I feel a bit better. Thanks!

she had 7 parties yesterday and finds out pref tomorrow. So soon right? I think I'll lock myself in my room until then! Why do I feel like it's me? I know it's not me? I'm not a helicopter parent ...only I think I'm becoming one now. I think I should call my DR for medication!

I was there only three years ago, and I still feel your pain. It will be over before you know it! My husband still says one of our happiest days as a family was meeting her on the lawn of her sorority house that Saturday. It was such a relief to all of us that it was over! I have another going through at a smaller school next week, and she told me after what my first and I went through, she could not see herself going through recruitment if she went to Bama. It's definitely a lot less stress the second time around in a less competitive environment (but still exciting  ).

I was so incredibly naive when DD went to Texas that I'd never have prepared her "properly" for rush there. I'm so glad she didn't show any interest. I know if rush had been even a fraction of what I read about here, I would not be greek today.
