Unhappy One sad Tri-Delt....

Alright...here's the deal. I pleged Tri Delta in the Fall of 1998. I was only able to stay for one semester because I had to come home due to family problems. Now that they are all under control, I really want to get back into Tri Delta. Spring 2001 is when I am able to transfer back to school and I don't know if I would still be able to be a part of the sorority. I've stayed in contact with a few of the sisters from my pledge class and my big sis..but most of them are getting ready to graduate, so they are all really busy. I'm currently a soph. in college and just turned 20 ( started college early.) Anyways..I just wanted to know if it is a lost cause or if I could become an active member again. I'm not sure what university I am going to go to in the spring...but it is going to be one with a Tri Delta chapter if I'm able to be active again. If anyone has any suggestions or answer for me....let me know!!
Thanks,
AZBabs602

I am glad to hear all is well again...not sure if you'll get this but oh well, it is worth a shot

Try going to the Nat'l webpage and look up numbers and give them a call...explain your situation and see what they say...did you actually go active...what university was it?

Please let me know how things work out...best of luck

A girl in my house transferred from Miami to Wisconsin and it was no big deal. For the first semster she was on "probation" meaning that she could talk in chapter, but not vote, that was it. The next semester the chapter decides wheter or not to "keep" you (that was a joke).

Thumbs up

azbabs602~I think that the other info you have receiced is probably the best way to go about doing things; However, a solution that you may wish to consider is....having the girls that you got to know in the house write a letter on your behalf. There will or should be a vote held during meeting. Most houses have an open bidding period that you may be able to hit. The best way to get back into the realm is to utilize the friends that you made. You will be fine. As you are already aware Tri-Delts are the best, and we are very fair. My heart and my luck are with you.
Sincerely, Ericka

I used to work at your national headquarters as a Chapter Services Coordinator. One of your members above was correct. You can affiliate and be a non-voting member for the first semester. Then the chapter can vote to officially affiliate you, if I remember correctly.
Good luck!
