It's important. I'm glad you are having errors fixed. There are minimum GPA's that the chapters are required to follow regardless of when or how they are rushing and sometimes they have set higher standards for their own chapter that they will have to follow except in the most special of circumstances.

I hope it goes better for you this time. My advice to you is sit down and really think about what went wrong. Was it just your grades or were there some other issues you don't really want to accept? Now is the time to be real with yourself about what happened and hopefully you can make some corrections.

No, it really does matter too much by school.

We also can't tell you if the damage was done the first time. A lot of times there are girls who tank rush the first time but it doesn't torpedo their future. Cuts have to be made during formal rush and it's not just for the girls they hate but for girls they just don't love enough. If you fall into that category, then going through a second time won't be a problem. If you insulted their national president or said you hate children, well then, you might have a problem.

It varies by school.

Example: There are schools where all the chapter's GPA requirements are 2.5 and if you have that, you're doing fine. Then there are other schools where requirements are about 3.0 and the majority of PNMs have 3.5s and above, so even if you have that 3.0, it looks less impressive and you might not make the grade cut.
