I'm going to see it at midnight. It's my first midnight-premire party thing and I'm honestly not excited about it. We have to be there at 7, sit in the lobby for 4 hours, and then when the movie is over they expect us to make it home safely at 3 in the morning? I'm going to be falling asleep at the wheel... Wish me luck =/

We wanted to do the midnight thing but the kids have school on Friday so it's a no go. If it wasn't the last day before their finals, I would consider letting them off for a day, but not the last day of classes before finals.

My daughter and I will be going Friday night. My son is going to Boy Scout camp so he'll have to catch it Sunday maybe, when he gets back. Poor kid.

We're seeing in IMAX on Saturday.

I hate to say it, but my expectations are low.

Tickets for Friday at 7:30 pm are purchased. The two 16 year old girls (my daughter and her friend) are even letting me sit with them. Thankfully, this theater has assigned seating so we have our seats, no waiting in long lines to get a good one. I love this theater

As I said in another thread, I pre-screened it last night (friend won tickets).

This was my first time pre-screening an HP movie (I usually see them WAY after they get released). It was CRAZY.

I won't say much except it's a really sad/depressing one (which you kind of already know if you've read the books). It also ends at a very frustrating point and makes you say "WTF? You can't stop here."

I cried. Bring tissues.

/nerd.

I'm doing a Friday matinee, too- I'm sooooo excited!!! I'm over the waiting in line for 5+ hours, and then driving home after, so I'm happy with my choice. If I had the stamina (and no honours classes to deal with), I might be willing to stand in line, but that's life.

I'm seeing it on Saturday. I'm really excited because this is the first HP moving I'm seeing in the theater--I only read the series for the first time last summer/fall. I really wanted to do the Friday at midnight, but by the time I would get home, I would just have to get up again in 3 hours.

I believe we get extra days off in the summer (summer Fridays), so since the last movie comes out July 15, I'l try to take that day off so I get to experience the whole midnight showing thing.

I can't wait.
I'm hoping to see if over break (ours starts Friday! yay!) with some girls I went to HS with. I have only ever been to one midnight premiere and it was for New Moon & because my roommate REALLY wanted us to go with her.
I'm willing to wait. And even more willing to wait until Sunday for matinee prices or Tuesday when I'll get free popcorn.
I don't like suspense anyways so I considered not seeing this at all until the other comes out.

I tried the midnight showing last year. I fell asleep around 2 and missed the last 20 min of the movie. I've read the series, so I knew the ending. With that said, no more midnight showings for me. I had my bf watch the 1st 6 movies in the last few months. We're supposed to see it Sat @ IMAX

I'm going to wait until the crowds die down which may be a while.
