Just a post script on the Award to our little patron, Mrs Mildrid Ligon.
Since she was to frail to come to our Dinner, We went to her!
I had about a 45 min. chat with her Fri. and must say frail at 97 years young, her mind is a lot sharper than many people in their 20's and 30's.
Sat. after the Football game, the Executive Sec. of the International gave her an Award for Detication and Service to the Chapter. She had a large smile on her face as she was so very proud.
She had a steady room full of Her Boys with her until time to go to the Dinner. I took Brother Robert Estes who had never met her to interduced him self and bet him she would say well yes I remember you! Boy did I step all over myself! She said it was so good to finally meet him. I really realized she is a heck of alot sharper than I am and she is 40 years more my maturity!
I am very sure that when Mrs. L passes, she will have Her BOYS attend from all over the Country! She is that kind of special Lady!
She now proudly displays the Signed LXA Coat of Arms and the Party we gave at the the Nursing home in Feb. hanging along side it and the composite of photos on the wall.
When i looked to see where I had signed on the Coat of Arms, she told me it was at the upper left where I never sign!!
I feel like the flat head of the tack when I am with her!
Thanks for putting up with this as I get very misty eyed when talking about Mrs. L
