amos lee is gonna be @ the Ryman tomorrow night, but at noon, he's gonna be @ Grimey's New & Preloved Music. if you can get there early enough, it's a great little record store to see shows.

OMG. I wish I could be there. Amos Lee is amazing. Lucky Nashville. He's been in Tucson twice.

And I was hoping you'd surface, because I wanted to ask your opinion of John Martyn.

hopefully, i can make it to the noon show at the record store. i think it's free, but it might be donation/album purchase. it's a tiny shop though. the Black Keys and Justin Townes Earle both did shows inside, crammed around the aisles, but even at the far corner, you're no more than 10 ft away. the Avett Bros were outside, but there was a huge crowd (*Record Store Day.)

I've only heard three of John Martyn's albums:
  • Solid Air
  • One World
  • Grace and Danger

fucking brilliant. the diversity and quality of those three alone is enough for me. if anything he wrote--before Solid Air, or after Grace and Danger-- is half as good as those three albums, my mind will be sufficiently blown.

Have a good time today. I checked, it's free, but you'd best get there really early. Lucky lucky you.

Sad that John Martyn is no longer with us. Personally, he could sing the phone book and I'd be mesmerized. Unique vocal style. I sorta thought you'd have heard of him. Come back later and share what Amos Lee sang, please.

I know Amos Lee because of GC (there was a discussion about the Sweet Pea song). I enjoyed what I heard

Have fun

I live a five minute walk from Grimey's - and they're amazing. They get people in-store to play all the time - we saw The Punch Brothers there over the winter.

Plus, their staff are all knowledgeable and friendly. And their selection goes really, really deep.

Love that place.

I love this song. It warms my heart.

And the AT&T commercial always brings a tear.

I would love to see Amos Lee live.

He's also a handsome brother...without the big beard look.

Amos Lee got his start here in the Philadelphia music scene...if you like him also look into George Stanford...they came up together and is also a great musician!
