With the holidays approaching I am inviting my boyfriend down for Thanksgiving to meet my family. We're both nervous about this cause I know how my dad likes to act around guys I'm interested in. He puts on a stone face and makes everyone uncomfortable. He's actually giving me a hard time about lodging even though we have an extra bedroom in our house. I was wondering what everyone else's experience was with bringing a significant other home for the first time.

Don't know your age, but my parents are very old-fashioned(which I love about them).
The first time a man ever came in my room, I was 21, he was my husband, and he was helping me move a desk, from my room to our new home. My parents separate bedrooms or not would have had major issues. Good luck.
