Zeta silly bandz!

Ok, so I'm not a Zeta obviously, but I immediately thought of ZTA when I opened my daughters latest pack of Silly Bandz! (For those of you who are thinking, "What the heck ar Silly Bandz?" they're those rubberband like bracelets that everyone from 4 year olds through college age "kids" are wearing. They look like squiggly bracelets when on your wrist, but when you take them off, they make a shape.) Well, the latest pack I got her is a Princess themed pack... and guess what? They have silver (gray?) 5 pointed crowns in them! They're absolutely adorable and so very suiting for an active Zeta who is into wearing the silly bandz. I just thought I'd throw it out there!

I was introduced to silly bandz this summer by my sister and her 8 year old daughter. They did a school fundraiser selling them and you'd think she was selling dope out of her daughter's bedroom for all the kids coming around with their cash in hand. It was really eye-opening! And proof yet again that you can never guess what the next hot thing is going to be.

Are college students really into these things? No judgment; my under ten nieces and nephews love them.

My sister is 18... she and all her friends wear them. I make fun of her for it, but whatever. My 17 year old neighbor wears them too. I might wear a silver crown one if I were an 18-19 year old Zeta, though, because that's just cool.

Considering we ran around wearing the friendship bracelets back in the day (you never take them off even in the shower!) I wouldn't be surprised.

The college freshmen who volunteered at my job really seemed to be into them. Not all of them, but a hefty percentage.

I might have been into them, except for the fact that you can't tell what shape they are when you're wearing them.

What I don't understand is all the adults that are wearing them. I went to a training and there were 4 women wearing them, including the woman doing the training who was not in our organization (and let me say this was NOT a sorority event).

Oh, I've seen plenty of college kids and older wearing them. In fact, my 28-year-old sister got the Princess pack just for that five-pointed crown! :-)

I wore silly bandz a lot over summer since I volunteered at my church's Vacation Bible School. I was surrounded by 5-year-olds all day, and they would love to share or trade with me. I left them at home when I moved back to school though

Some of the sororities at my school have actually just ordered silly bandz with our letters. A TON of students wear them here- football players included!

I don't know where it came from, but I just found a yellow squirrel silly band laying on the floor! It's not buff, but still great for AGD!

I want a kite or star one!

One of my clients was wearing one today. I'm hoping it's because of his kids and not because it's become something in the felon culture that I'm going to have to police like I do earrings.
