OC Housewives Alexis and Jim don't need a lifeguard...
http://www.popeater.com/2010/07/06/r...own-in-pool%2F
Quote:
'Real Housewives of O.C.' star Alexis Bellino nearly averted tragedy this past Fourth of July weekend when two of her kids accidentally fell into a pool, TMZ is reporting. The reality star, her husband, Jim, and their children were celebrating the holiday at The Balboa Bay Club when the accident happened.
Security at the Newport Beach, California club told TMZ that Alexis and Jim were away "doing something" when suddenly their stroller carrying daughters Melania and MacKenna rolled into the pool.
Several witnesses at the scene said a lifeguard pulled the stroller out of the water and one daughter was still in it. The girl's father Jim then dove into the water to retrieve his other daughter.
Interestingly, Jim told TMZ, "There was no lifeguard needed or involved."
Both of the two little girls are fine and didn't require medical attention

They disgusted me on the show, and now it's worse.

I read this and was just shocked, disgusted and hoping that they at least get a visit from CPS. Who the hell leaves children unattended around water. And how close to the pool did they park the stroller that it was able to roll into the pool before anyone noticed.

Mini rant:
Having basically lived at a pool for most of my life, many parents I see are generally careless with their children in the water. Parents will leave their three-year old kid in the water and then go and workout upstairs, or go to the other side of the pool to talk with their girlfriends. As a lifeguard, a swim teacher, pool manager, swim team coach, heck, as a human being I cannot believe that people will throws kids ages 2-5 in the water with water wings or some such device, and then go somewhere else. It even says on the thing: do not leave children unattended in the water. Even if your young child can swim, everyone is vulnerable to a freak out in the water, or a bajillion other things that can happen in a pool.
/mini rant before I write a page
Anyway, that's terrible. I hope that CPS will get involved.

So Jugs for Jesus and Reverand Jim really aren't perfect? And, where were their two nannies?
Seriously, Alexis has no business having kids. She is too self-absorbed

I have a friend whose then-4 year old son drowned at a party - she had gone inside, leaving dad to watch. He flat-lined, but they got him back. He's had a rough past 3 1/2 years, and she almost divorced her husband. You can NEVER stop watching YOUR kids - this incident was at the YMCA, with lifeguards present. No one cares as much as you do about your children, and it only takes a second.
When my now 17 year old was younger, she always had a pool party at my mother's for her birthday. I would hire a lifeguard to watch the 5 - 6 kids there, just to do everything I could to insure their safety.
Thank God everything worked out for those poor kids.
