One of my "little sisters" just started at Spelman a few weeks ago and she is totally freaked out. Poor thing, that campus is in a huge amount of mourning.

I heard that all the surrounding campuses were on lockdown.

I can only imagine how scared your "sis" must be. I always felt like campus police needed to step up their game.

Campus police moved up to the heart of campus after a shooting a couple years ago. They obviously didn't think they needed more than just a better location, but CLEARLY they need more.

I see in the article that they're providing grief counselors. I think I'll encourage her to go.
