Rollins Recruitment

Hi all! I have recently decided to transfer to Rollins and am interested in going through recruitment which is in the spring. I was wondering if anyone had any information about the Rollins recruitment process, especially how competitive it is and whether or not recs are strongly encouraged or not. I am a sophomore transferring from a VERY competitive school where I was unable to rush last year due to the death of a family member. Any help y'all can give would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I'm only replying to this because it's been several days and you've gotten no replies, but my impression is that recruitment at Rollins is fairly competitive, though probably not to the extreme degree that occurs at SEC schools.

But I don't really know what I'm talking about. I have only met like 2 people that went to Rollins and were Greek. Just my initial impressions from casual discussions with them.

Rollins has 4 NPC sororities - Kappa Delta, Chi Omega, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Alpha Omicron Pi. Formal recruitment is usually in February. Each chapter has a university-owned house on campus. I have also heard that it is pretty competitive for a small school. In the recent past, there has been little oversight of Greek life by the administration, which was hurting the system. I don't know if that has changed or not.

I know two Rollins Greeks, and it doesn't seem to be terribly competitive from what they have told me. One went with one of the NPC sororities, and the other with the local (Non Compos Mentis). Neither rushed as freshman, and both are loving Rollins Greek life.

I think you will be okay. Good luck, and enjoy yourself!
