YOU??? Listen to this?

People who know you quite well, if they were riding in your car with you, what song would they be surprised to see on your playlist? They know what kind of music you normally listen to most, but you have that one song that would surprise them.

I’m trying to see if I’m going to be surprised based on how I see GC personalities on here.

I have a two songs by Nirvana on my playlist, the rest is R&B and hip hop.

In 1996 I shocked my young nephew, sister and brother-in-law when they played the new song Machinehead by Bush on their radio, and I told them I really liked it.

"I am the Best" by 2NE1

It's a K-Pop song. I have several on my phone. I like to use them when I run because the fast beat will keep me going.

Plus, it's a fun song. It's in Korean, so I don't understand the words; but, I still like it.

"Judgement Day" by Lovebites and "To the Wolves" by Stitched Up Heart are the latest songs I'm listening to on Spotify. Both are Heavy Metal Bands. My Spotify playlists are consisted of 51% Hard Rock and Heavy Metal and 49% Hip-Hop, Jazz and R&B. The majority are mostly old school mix (70's, 80's, 90's) with some New School.

I’m all over the place with my music, but mostly what’s on my phone is 60s and 80s pop, 80s New Wave and House music. People are usually surprised at some of the titles of the music I listen to, because of my personality and strong morals lol.

Examples of two songs on my phone with titles that surprise people:
“Everyday (The Naked Penis Remix)”
“Lady (Crazy Penis Remix)”

I’ll post the songs so you can hear them. I love House music.

I recently went to the Outlaw Music Festival, in two different cities, featuring headliner Willie Nelson, which I think surprised a lot of people. Although, we were also going for some of the additional bands which are more part of my usual scene- Tedeschi Trucks Band was at one show, and Bob Weir & Wolf Brothers was at the other show.

Honestly, I listen to enough different genres that I have no idea what people think would be normal or not for me. But I would guess the biggest surprises would be Master Boot Record and Keygen Church projects from the same person, and Lingua Ignota.

MBR is rock and heavy metal with stylings from speed metal and New Wave of British Heavy Metal, but through a 16-bit sound font, so it sounds much like a Super Nintendo game that had the soundtrack composed by Iron Maiden. Keygen Church is very similar, but the compositional focus is much more religious and Romantic in nature, as well as using a lot of organ and choirs as well.

Keygen Church - La Chiave Del Mio Amor http://https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rIuH_Ng2bM

Lingua Ignota was a project for Kristen Hayter to make music and deal with an abusive relationship. As another one person project, she makes what would be called Neoclassical Darkwave. The first part of that genre being new implementations of chamber-style music or the typical instruments, and darkwave being a more sinister and dark version of new wave.

I heard the albums Caligula and Sinner Get Ready and they blew me away. As a metalhead, I've listened to a lot of extreme music. At a certain point, a lot of that stuff just becomes silly with how over the top it is and how it tries to shock you. But both of the Lingua Ignota albums I've heard were heavier than any other record I've heard. They are not for the faint of heart, but they are an incredible listening experience. I'll leave a review since I feel like you really need to experience the whole album yourself.

I've also gotten into hardstyle recently for a much different shift (maybe this would be what GCers would be shocked with)
