puck is a fiji?

hey guys! i just have to ask.......is puck really a fiji? everytime i see the intro to the rw/rr battle of the sexes it trips me out. i seriously didn't think he even went to college.
i'd love it if someone could clear this up for me. thanks!

thrift store find is a great possibility, but i'm not so sure. with the number of greeks on the show, i'd bet that they'd have to be very careful of letters and organizations being represented. don't know if the producers would let him represent fiji if he really wasn't one. but who knows. i could be totally wrong. i'd love it if a fiji brother would get on here and tell me.

As far as i know hes not. Just got the shirt from either a friend or a college buddy. Why MTV is allowing him to wear it is against me. Hope that helps

Puck real name: David Edward Rainey

According to offical records there is a David D Rainey that is a member of FIJI ,but to set to rest any rumors there is not David E. Rainey that is a brother of the fraternity.

thanks for clearing that up. then that raises the question of why he's allowed to wear that shirt on such a greek show. just think about how many people on that show are greek affiliated. most likely we'll never know why this is (other than maybe fiji not pursuing action cuz it's not that big of a deal to them).

Yeah, you bring up an excellent point on the matter. Well to answer the "its not a whole big deal" ... I know FIJI does not see it as "not a big deal" ... anytime the greek community is put in a bad light unncecesarily; its a big deal. I will write a letter to Headquarters and found out what their official stance on the whole matter is.

see, i wasn't sure b/c it's also the name of an island. personally, i'd take it as something directed towards the organization. a good example of this is sigma chi contacting mtv to tell them that they needed to change their fraternity life commercial to not say sigma chi, but sigma chi omega. you've probably seen the ad. anyhow, the letter sounds good. i'd love to find out.

so i just saw the intro tonight and i about tripped when i saw puck wearing the fiji shirt....and i hadn't seen this thread yet... so i didn't know...but dayum!!! i woudlnt want him representing my org., especially after the behavior on this show

Thank you for your message. As far as we can tell Puck is not a Fiji. I am yet to be convinced that shirt has anything to do with our Fraternity. I think it was simply bought at a second hand store. Thank you for your inquiry though, I'll let you know if I find out anymore information.

it's from the zeta house at Indiana University, it was our intramural jersey and the "KGB" is the nickname of the guy who's it was

he gave it to puck during a college visit to IU when puck came to the house and puck randomly wore it throughout the show
