This is pretty much the ultimate story for keeping an open mind! I'm sure she will love hanging out and possibly living in that gorgeous new house (jealous!). Congrats on such a lovely group!

My favorite recruitment story of all time. Also since U A shows the door chants I pictured her somewhere in the back during DG's door chant.

If you’ve not read this rush story, you are in for a treat!

Truly one of the most entertaining of all of the recruitment stories to be found here at Greek Chat.
It's second only to "A Chuck Norris" recruitment story.

Did anyone figure out who this writer is?
I just read through all of the recruitment stories by this writer and they are hilarious. It is obvious none of them are real, or at least completely real. The writing has a very familiar sassy-southern-women’s book vibe. Now I am dying to know who it is. Anyone have an idea? I am not familiar enough with the genre to guess.
Ps I recommend the PNW thread in case you wonder if I am being too suspicious. Things get very wacky in that one.
Anyway, whoever you are, brava(o) for your ability to entertain.

I’m six years late to this party but as an Alabama graduate, I especially enjoyed this one. I hope OP’s daughter enjoyed her time in Tuscaloosa as a DG. I still haven’t been able to identify which nickname went with my sorority and it’s driving me crazy!

We doubted that it was real at all.
Hey, you would have rushed at Bama at the same time our niece did! She's a Chi O.

This thread was like the appetizer…she didn’t really “jump the shark” so to speak until the one in the northwest…that just got really bizarre.
Which brought us this amazing quote: Sciencewoman
My capacity for suspending disbelief has officially reached its limit.
I think of that quote often!

I think she was heavily inspired by the author/essayist Florence King; her writing tone and voice is so similar.
