Another Nicole, right here. Hellooooo 1982.
One weird thing I noticed was that I got called Michelle a lot. Not just by one or two teachers, but by a lot of them. Nicole and Michelle were both very popular names in my grade and school, so maybe it was just the fact that they were so popular. When I joined Alpha Phi and I was the only Nicole, I was estatic! And then by the time I graduated I was 1 of 4.

I made them all change to Nikki, Nik, and Nichole (who we called Nic w/a ho).
I wonder if anyone has done a name analysis on middle names. I'm not only a Nicole, but a Nicole Renee... practically all of my girlfriends had middle names like Renee, Lynn, or Nicole. Our parents were so unoriginal it was digusting.

A lot of guys have middle names like James or Michael, but there was a line in those studies about parents being less adventurous with boys names.
After being stuck with Nicole for so long, I always wanted to name my kids something exotic, like Aurora or Destiny. LOL, I would have given my future kids a complex if I'd been allowed to pick out names when I was 12.
